In May 2011, a single event significantly changed Tim's life
In May of 2011, while employed as a climber near the power lines, Tim was involved in a workplace accident that resulted in an electric shock of 22,000 volts that travelled through his right hand and out through his legs and feet. His journey from there involved air transfer, ICU, over a dozen operations, amputations, skin grafts, two intense months in hospital, years of recovery and an extensive workplace investigation resulting in nationwide industry safety advances. Through his difficult experience, Tim has gained a passion for sharing his story and communicating the value of safety in the workplace.
